<p>I know this might sound like a very weird question, but I want to fit in at Wake. I was wondering if a good portion of the girls have cartilage (upper ear) and belly piercings? I have them and like to show them off, but I don't want to be in big minority at Wake (I heard that doesn't go well lol). I know it sounds weird and trivial, but do a lot of the girls have cartilage, belly, and nose studs (not in the goth sense but the preppy sense). Thanks!</p>

<p>D (graduated in May) has a single nose stud, as did a number of her friends. As a parent, I’m not that thrilled with it, but, at least in D’s case, it was something she really wanted after spending time in India her junior year.</p>

<p>I just went out with my friend and we got nose studs today, probably my last piercing, but it was fun. I now have my earlobes, one cartilage, nose, and belly.</p>

<p>But back on topic, does anyone else at Wake have or know the preppy type with piercings?</p>

<p>No, I haven’t noticed many people with them, but I don’t think anybody will really care if you have piercings as long as your face isn’t covered with them or something.</p>

<p>It any Wake student has them it would help to know, just don’t want to be in the minority at Wake, but the info I’ve gotten has comforted me (a bit).</p>

<p>I think it’s important to realize that while many people at Wake are super preppy and whatnot, people here aren’t rejected for being different. Sure, if you show up with a lip ring, a pink mohawk, and parachute pants, you’re going to get some weird looks. But you aren’t going to be ousted for having tattoos, piercings, not wearing Lilly Pulitzer/Brooks Brothers, etc.</p>
