Wal-Mart is a disgrace to America

I hate walmart.

would you still hate them if they had a vegan-actress aisle?

i hate people who hate walmart... dont fuccccking shop there if you dont like it- if employees arent satisfied, get another JOB!!!!!!!!!!

so if walmart didnt exist, all these complaining employees would be out of jobs

I love Wal-Mart as a institution of capitalism, but hate it as a store: it's full of gross people and the price cut isn't worth the environment I have to shop in normally.

neverborn-exactly!

Wal-Mart sucks to shop at. Target all the way, baby!

"it's full of gross people and the price cut isn't worth the environment I have to shop in normally."

Gee, are we being elitist today, neverborn?

"Target all the way, baby!"

I hate Target for:
1. More expensive than Wal-Mart
2. Looks and smells like K-Mart inside (nothing like the smell of cheap butter popcorn and hotdogs at the cafe in a K-Mart or Target)

Wal-Mart is an institution for champions. I like savings, thus I shop at the BIG "W"! I just hate when someone gets on the overspeaker and bellows out a message such as, "ATTENTION WAL-MART SHOPPERS, THE OWNER OF THE GEO PINTO LEFT HIS HEADLIGHTS ON."

I know what neverborn's talking about. My pet peeve is ppl who bring their children to the store and then don't keep them under control. And small children always seem to run in packs!

I loooooove la Tar-jay! It's awesome. I decorated my apt with a ton of stuff from there and I get alot of my clothes there. (I swear, one girl mistook my $20 Target purse for a $450 Marc Jacobs one. Ha!) And I love the fact it smells like Starbucks...I love Starbucks...I'm hopelessly, incurably blue state.

Call it elitist if you want. I call it reality. At Target, I typically do not worry about the employees shouting at each other across aisles, blocking up whole aisles with merchandise boxes and walking away to talk to friends, and I don't have to worry about trashy shoppers letting their kids run everywhere, screaming at each other, being generally loud, and being generally irritating.

"walking away to talk to friends,"

Uh huh....I am sure the employees at Target are an advanced species compared to those at Wal-Mart.

"I don't have to worry about trashy shoppers letting their kids run everywhere,"

Right, the kids at Target are well behaved angels compared to the children at Wal-Mart. Target is for those who only possess well behaved kids.

IMO, Target almost looks identical to K-Mart inside, and is much more expensive than Wal-Mart. Personally, I like to save $$$ when I shop, not sure about y'all.

Walmart does have a ****ty feel to it. Nothing elitist about it, just practical. It does have cheap shells though :D

What is not practical about Wal-Mart. Repeat, Target reminds me of K-Mart and is repulsive. Why is there such an anti-sentiment towards Wal-Mart.
In addition, Sams Club is even better.

i agree- walmart does have quite a few scumbags-nothing like seeing a bunch of morbidly obese people trying to find the best deals on wifebeaters.

target is definitely a better store, the quality of the products are much better, and you dont feel like trailer trash shopping there

I like Sams Club more than Walmart, agreed. Target is indeed better than Walmart in terms of atmosphere, but then again, I am comparing a 10+year old Walmart store to our newly opened Target. KMart is for pure trailer trash.

K-Mart, I agree, is disgusting without doubt. But a new Wal-Mart blows away any target store.

Sams Club is great.

I don't like hanging out with trailer trash. It's not worth it to go to wal-mart for me to do so. UNLESS it's after hours, and Wal-Mart being 24/7 is the only option.

You ask why there is "an anti-sentiment toward wal-mart." Here's your answer: It's the same reason you loathe K-Mart and Target.

I don't understand what you guys are talking about. WalMart is founded on one of the core beliefs of the United States - capitalism. In the first quarter this year, WalMart made 2.62 billion dollars. Now, I do have some personal problems with some of the things that WalMart does to a local community, but the fact is, America (and in life, as well) is based upon the strongest coming out on top.
Would I ever hang out at WalMart? No. But, that doesn't mean that it's not convenient for cheap poster board and dog food. :)

walmart is just awesome

Wal-Mart discriminates against women, they don't give benfits to part time employees

...most companies don't give many benefits to part-time workers.
