To be a finalist means you made it to the “last stage”! haha
so it could be either way
I doubt they will notify finalists in May and then recipients even later

<p>What if the school that you end up going to is not that one you stated on the application? If we receive the scholarship, can we change the school receiving the check to the one that we are actually going to but not the one we stated on the app?</p>
<p>^I’m sure you can change it, if they grant you money then you have to fill out a bunch of paperwork I’m assuming. Then just fill in the new school.</p>

ACT provides a Selection Committee, independent of Walmart Stores, Inc. and the Walmart Foundation, to ensure the
impartial and confidential evaluation of applications. Selection is based on financial need, academic record, ACT/SAT test
scores, and school and community activities and leadership. Semifinalist notifications will be emailed in late February 2010;
semifinalists will be asked to provide supplemental documents (transcripts, etc.) for receipt by March 8, 2010. The notification
email to semifinalists will contain additional details. Final notifications will be emailed to all applicants in early May 2010.</p>
