Hi
I will be an international student this summer to the U.S to study piano.I just got accepted by both walnut hill and Interlochen. I've been told that both school are very good arts focus high schools in the U.S. But I am just wondering which school has the better piano program. I'd like to focus on more classical music other than jazz.

Any suggestions?

Great news on both your acceptances. Both schools and programmes are wonderful. As an alum of Walnut Hill, I can say that the decision for me to attend was made when I visited on an overnight stay to learn more about the school. It was a toss-up between St. George’s and Walnut Hill, and I’ve never regretted my decision. In terms of the best piano training, I think WHS is really well qualified - not only in terms of access to the best teachers and instructors and guest artists - but also in terms of the school’s proximity to Boston and its great relationship with the other musical schools in the area, and the Boston Symphony…

Just some thoughts, but I am a fan of my alma mater, and I think you’d enjoy the experience. Feel free to ask me any questions. Good luck!
