Want to change major to IE

I am an international freshman student at purdue university, major in management. Cause purdue seem to be not good at business, and too many students in business school, it's too competitive and maybe hard to find a job. And purdue's engineering is quite good, especially in Industrial engineering. But now I just wonder Can someone tell me what occupation I can get after I graduate with a IE bachelor? And if I want to go to a B-shool for MbA study? Is it possble for an engineering student study business for master degree? And is it easy to do so?

sorry about my english…^_^

you are screwed!

April fools
sorry dont take me seriously, I am a bit immature. you can do a lot of stuff with industrial engineering such as working in investment banks and firms but i rily dont know the specifics…would wait for a real industrail engineer to pop up here.

haha, can someone introduce me what kind of firm I can get into after graduation with a IE degree?

You can do almost anything with an IE degree. Manufacturing, banking, consulting, management, energy, etc.,etc. As with anything, the kind of job you can get really depends on you as much as it does the degree. If you do very well in your classes AND are personable, any of the above are possible. However, it seems like many of the less inclined IE’s end up in manufacturing, so be aware of that if you don’t want to be working in a manufacturing plant. Many IE’s go on to get an MBA, so yes, it’s very possible. Even if you decide later on that you would like to pursue a masters in a different engineering field, you will have a broad background and could easily make up whatever coursework you need for whatever specialization you choose. In my opinion it’s one degree that you can’t really go wrong with.
