Want to go to Ivies (Like everyone else in the world)

Hey guys,
I'm a sophomore and I was wondering if I could get a bit of feedback from this community. What can I improve on? What should I keep doing in order to get into the Ivy Leagues?
Mainly, I'm just looking for advice.
I'm in IB-
I'm going to take English HL, History HL and Bio HL. I'm taking Math SL, Physics SL and French SL. I get into the Principal's list every term.
I'm getting straight A's right now, and am in the top 10% of my grade.
Here are my EC's:
- One of top 50 World Vision Brand Ambassadors in grade NINE (so it's not very recent, hahah)
- Volunteer @ my mayor's office (100+ hours) (grade nine- present)
- Intern for a magazine (grade ten-present)
- President of a school club that protects the environment (grade 7-present)
- Founded a school club that protects the marine environment (grade 9- present)
- Model UN (grade nine-present)
- Youth Parliament (grade nine-present)
- Cross country (grade 10-present)
- Basketball (grade 4-present)
(and in basketball, there are divisions. E.g: senior varsity basketball, club basketball etc.etc)
- Got a World Vision University Entrance Letter?? Not sure if that's very useful. I got it in grade nine anyways
- principals list every term
- School representative Public Square, we just voice our opinions
- Duke of Edinburgh Program
- Brand Ambassador for Journalism for Human Rights (JHR)
- went to CTY but that's not an ec -_-

ermmm that's about it. I've published a couple articles here and there.
Any advice? If there are any questions, then I'll answer them (if anyone replies).

You have great icing, but where is the cake? If you can maintain your GPA, be among the top 5% in class, and get great test scores, you do have a chance for these schools.

Start taking the ACT/SAT now, there’s nothing wrong with it, I achieved a perfect subscore freshman year and I’ll be using it in the superscore process. If you have straight A’s, shouldn’t you be better than top 10%? Aren’t you taking the most rigorous courseload? Otherwise cross country and basketball will help a lot! Good luck

alright, thanks for the advice!

You can start practicing for the tests, but I wouldn’t recommend actually taking them. I’m pretty sure that even though schools do superscore, they’d still look @ the number of times you took the test. It’s just like how Cornell admissions probably still looks @ writing score even though they don’t count it.

SATs and ACTs are biggies to really be considering. Assuming you are taking the most rigorous course loads your school allows and you still are getting A’s in all of them, then you should also be fine. Your ECs are pretty good but again, Ivy acceptance rates are around 5% so I suggest that you compare your qualifications to others who made it.

There is no magic formula to get into the Ivies. And yes, you need to realize that the schools in the Ivy League are different. There is no one size fits all.

And in regards to the above post, acceptance rates are not about 5%- Harvard’s was 5.8%, with increased rates for the rest.
