Chance for Ivies?

Hey, I'm a sophomore next year.

In 7th grade, for Duke TIP, I got a 1960 SAT(800 M, 570 CR, 590 W).
Last year, I got a 214 PSAT and a 2120(800 M, 640 CR, 680 W) on a practice SAT at the local library.
I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam.

My passion is for mathematics, I scored 21 on the USAJMO with a 8 AIME.

My unweighted GPA is 4.0, weighted 4.57, class rank 4/300something.

My last year's schedule was
English I H
World Geography H
Chemistry I H
Calculus AB AP
French II
Advanced Orchestra
Computer Science II

Next year is
English II H
Civics/Free Enterprise H
Physics I H
Calculus BC AP
French III H
Computer Science III AP
P.E./Health

I was class president last year.
I participate actively in Mu Alpha Theta, Frisbee Club, Science Club, and Computer Science Club. Next year I will probably be in Beta as well.

Could you please give me some recommendations on how to improve my chances to get in an Ivy? Thanks.

More ECs would help a lot

Raise CR 100 points.

Here’s what can help your application. Take the SAT (obviously), get really good recommendations, write a kick-ass essay. Join at least 3 clubs next year, if you play your cards right, you could be head by senior year.

Also, try to get a job. Colleges like to see that you can balance work and school. If possible, try to get an internship next summer. Internships, especially in your prospective major, look very good.

Good luck. You’re definitely on the right track.

Thanks for the advice everyone, it’s very useful!

Your math will get you to many places! Take advantage of your talent

Definately on the right track.
You sound like a perfect fit for MIT as well. Taking AP calc as a freshman is very impressive.
I would say try to get leadership positions in your clubs. And write kick ass essays.
