Want to start community college late but I have no money for it. Can I still get financial aid?

I want to start school asap. Can I start during fall or winter or must I wait for the 2017-2018 year?

Can I still get financial aid if I never finished the FAFSA process (did not fill out income and a few other things)?

I know that the deadline passed a while ago but when I log in to my account it tells me
"Because you submitted your FAFSA without parental information to be considered for an Unsubsidized Stafford Loan only, your application is not complete

Contact your college’s financial aid office and provide them with documentation to verify your situation."

Any help would be appreciated.

you still have time to complete the information needed on the fafsa. You will most likely begin college for the spring semester, which is early 2017. Follow the instructions and see your financial aid office.

How old are you?

Do you live with parents?

@Madison85 18 and yes
@sybbie719 so is it better just to apply for the 2017-2018 fafsa?

No, if you are going during the school year 2016-2017 (and your intent is to go this winter/spring) you use the 2016-2017 FAFSA using 2015 income.

If you are going to be in school 2017-2018, then you will file the 2017-2018 FAFSA using 2015 income information

Did you take the ACT?

Can you complete the FAFSA with parents’ information?

@Madison85 i passed ACT with 22 and yes
@sybbie719 you can sttart school at winter season?

Yes, you can
