want to take 19 credits, 18 credit limit. Can/Should I do anthing?

I would not recommend taking two lab science courses at the same time … especially your first semester. It is great you are planning your way through your premed path … however I think if you tentatively plan out 8 semesters you’ll see there is no need to crush too much too soon; there is planety of time through the 8 semesters to fit everything. In my day as an engineering student (which was a long time ago) it was pretty easy to get permission to take 19 credits as long as it was only five courses (which was our normal load) … however as I said if you do not double up on the lab sciences you’re likely to drop to 18 credits anyway.

i think that the intro bio course (BIOG 1440) is just lecture with discussion sections. There is an accompanying lab (BIOG 1500) that all bio majors have to take before graduating to graduate a bio major. Im thinking of taking that second semester. Chemistry however will have lab sections. Rather than taking calc first semester I’m thinking of taking stat (which i heard is a little easier and hopefully will provide some breathing room 1st semester).

word on the campus is that basically all languages are extremely time consuming.

also, you’re right about the bio course not requiring a lab. it’s confusing since the lab used to be two semesters long, and this is the first year it’s not…that’s why 3togo was likely confused.
