wants to transfer to Baruch !

Hi~I'm currently studying in a community college in florida.I have a 3.0GPA with 21 credit so far.i'm considering to compete a AA degree with 60credit to have a smooth transit to my last 2 year for a BA. If i have a 3.2GPA when i finish my 60 credit, do i have a good chance to get in?(maybe i'll apply at 2011 summer)Do i need anythings eles like personal essay or recomandation?is baruch a good school?do i have any other option with my GPA?(fordham? NYU?columbia?)i'm only consider school located in New york city.thank you all ~~please gives me an idea guys!

you will get into baruch no sweat, but i do not think nyu or columbia would consider your gpa competitive.

when you ask “is baruch a good school?” it depends. what do you want to study? Baruch is nothing like NYU or Columbia, but it is infinitely cheaper.

The average gpa for admitted students is 3.35 and the average amount of credits an accepted person has is 59

They do have a cheap dormitory, though

Baruch does not have dormitories. I heard rumors about Baruch starting to have some dorms but I believe it is with Educational Student Housing. Nevertheless, it is ridiculously expensive.

Baruch is very competitive to get into point blank. I go to school w/in the CUNY system and i’ll tell you that it won’t be easy to get into.

The school does not have a real campus, so there are no dorms. Its a commuter school. I do believe that if you do get in then they may recommend housing options but its not connected to the college. O and btw living in Manhattan ain’t cheap. So definently think this through.

Since your not applying now, work harder and bring your gpa up so you can get into fordham. They have beautiful campuses and nice apartment style dorms. You would definently like it.
