Was deffered from film production. What are my chances now? Wonder why they deffered me, because all film prod applicants had to apply by nov 1, so in theory they’ve seen all the applicants. So how do they not have enough info to accept me?
I feel like if they weren’t interested in me they would have just rejected me.
What should i do now? Is this deferral basically a rejection?
Also stats:
3.5 gpa, 1440 SAT, visited campus, incredible rec letters and film experience.
Did you apply ED? My daughter applied EA (Nov 1st) and expects to hear back the beginning of February. She didn’t apply ED anywhere.
@leopold0122 Although all film production had the 11/1 deadline, I don’t think it’s necessarily true that they’ve watched all of the submissions. It seems very likely that they reviewed the ED submissions only and now you’ve been rolled into the EA group where hopefully they will review your package again. It is disappointing to not get in ED, but at least you were deferred! They could have rejected you outright so obviously they are still considering you. Hope you get good news in February!
