Hello everyone. I was recently dismissed from my college that I attended for a full year, (because I couldn't keep my grades up due to depression) but my question is...can I attended a community college even though I was dismissed from my previous university? I applied to this community college and they accepted my request, however they don't have my transcripts yet. I originally applied to a different college (after I was dismissed) but after receiving my transcripts and learning that I was dismissed, refused me. Is the same thing going to happen to this community college?

I attend a community college and work in the same area as the counseling department, and from my knowledge I believe that they should still accept you. Community college isn’t too picky when it comes to those concerns. The only real requirement I’ve ever known them to have was to have obtained a high school diploma or GED. You just have to be sure to keep your GPA up once you are there because if you don’t that will matter.
