Ok I applied early admission to Drew in January. The deadline for them to let me know was today, however I did not recieve a responce from them so I called. The lady told me that my application is still in review, and that I will find out within a week or two. What exactly does this mean? Was this just a way to avoid telling me over the phone or what? I really want to go to Drew, but it seems that its not going to happen. What issue could be keeping my application in review? Thank you in advance.

I think it means what she says it means.

They are probably just running behind. The fact that she did not tell you does not mean you were rejected- most colleges seem to have a policy where they will not tell you the decision over the phone. Oftentimes when they say they'll get back to you on a certain date, they just aren't done reviewing applications at that point, and delay giving responses. It is probably no indication of whether or not you were accepted. Good luck!

Also within the next week what do you guys suggest I do to help my chances? Show I email my admissions counselor and ask her about this situation?

I don't think that you can do anything.

Thanks chocolateluvr88 hopefully thats the case.

How are your grades, test scores, ecs? All colleges are evaluating many more apps. this year. My son was supposed to hear EDII at his school by Feb. 1. Did not hear til the 6th. Just hang in there. You will have to wait for the letter. Good luck!
