so i took the sat this saturday (makeup b/c of florida hurracaine)...
i was happy with my scores (CR680 M800 W710) but i wanted to improve my cr (680)...
i think i improved the writing this time, but idk if i improved cr, which is what i wanted to do.
Since it is my fourth time (1 old and 2 new before this one) would it look bad if i took it 4 times...do they count the first one or will they overlook it since it was the old sat?
i have to send the scores so my question is should i cancel these ones or not?
i have a 1480 or 2190 already...but i might get a higher score..
thanks and please respond

shut up, no way, was it at forest hill?????!?!?!?!?!?!

no dont delete it they wont care i say

^^What????

huh? 354556y7

que???? yo no entiendo...

ok if you guys did not understand my post here it is again...
MY HIGHEST SCORE (CR680 M800 W710) = 1480-2190
I took it today in order to raise my CR score, but im not 100% sure that I did that. I am sure that I raised my writing score.
Since I took the old SAT once and this is my third time taking the new one (so 4 total), should I cancel my scores, or should I wait and see them? Its not an option to not send them so I need to know
THanks in advance

Isn't it a little too late to cancel?

no i am in florida and we were rescheduled for today, so i have until wednesday

well do you think your cr fell or just didnt raise?

i really dont know because i guessed on several questions...on the june one i missed 8 and didnt omit and got a 680 and i dont think I did mich better on this one...definetly over 600 but i am not confident that i broke 700...i hope so tho..
so it is about taking the risk of waiting for my scores to come out or just cancelling them...

pimpa10, you missed 8 and got a 680 in June? On the Oct. test I got 8 wrong and omitted 5 and got a 650. Was the Oct. curve just more lenient or is that how it normally is?

Basically, 680 was 8 wrong in June while a 650 was equivalent to about 14 wrong in Oct. That's a 30 point difference but 6 raw points.

i just checked to make sure...i got 59 right, 0 omitted, 8 wrong, for a total raw score of 57/67...
i guess the oct curve was more lenient, and i suppose this one will be too b/c it wasnt an easy cr...
so should i take the risk and keep em or just cancel and play it safe?

I honestly don't knoow what advice to give you. I will tell you though that I took the Sat in june and got a 660 on cr. When I retook it in october I was a little dissapointed because I felt that I did not do much better, if at all, but my score improved to 730. So, you may just be undermining yourself. The difference for me probably was that I knew a lot more vocabulary when I took it in october , so I did much better on the sentence completions.

what hurricane?

3 weeks ago hurracaine wilma basically destroyed south florida....

anybody???

no, don't cancel....a 4th time won't make a difference

They only take your highest scores, buddy. Don't listen the fear mongerers on this board; colleges realize you can have bad days. If you score a 730, they're not going to say "OH WELL THIS ISN'T A TRUE 730 BECAUSE HE GOT A 650 ON DATE x". People make mistakes, and they realize this. Remember, it's an ADMISSIONS process. Things are supposed to work in your favor!

kkk thanks i think i wont cancel but if anyone advises otherwise plz feel free to try and change my mind
