<p>I submitted my Fafsa almost immediately after it was available. I even received an email on the 8th from Fafsa that mine had been processed. why isnt there an "X" in my Wash U application. Or is it because it says that it wont be available to them on Feb 1?</p>

<p>Relax you should be ok. It takes them a long time to process stuff, and now is probably the most hectic time of the year for admissions. I've sent stuff in and it has taken up to a couple weeks for them to finally mark and "X" on my account. If you have confirmation that you submitted it I see no reason for you to worry.</p>
