Hey, I'm planning to major in International Studies and Economics. Which school do you think would be better in this? I know that Northwestern has a higher number of people seeking degrees in humanities and social studies, and when I visited WashU I felt like it I was overwhelmed by premeds. I also like being in Chicago.

However, WashU has a the Olin business school, which has strong economic courses. Does NU have the same prestige in its economics curriculum?

Northwestern is great for economics. It would be the best in the Midwest for this if it weren't for UChicago. Plus, the atmosphere is just so much better at Northwestern than Wash U, IMO.

ya i got into UChicago as well but decided not to do it because of its crazy core curriculum. I feel like Northwestern is still competitive, but is still an environment where I can get a strong athletic and arts influence.

Thanks for the advice, guys! I was leaning towards Northwestern to begin with :) so this is nice to know.
