Washington Post: More seats at U-Va. could ease admission woes

Bluegirl,

As a prospective student, I have to disagree. Yes, UVA is a lot smaller than many other flagships (UMich, UF, PSU, etc). However, size is a preference to every individual student. I can’t say that the size of UVA has had any impact on why I love the school so much. On the other hand, I’ve also applied to the University of Michigan and the University of Florida, both humongous schools and very different than UVA. I also know many other students who would prefer to go to a larger flagship state university over a small. The size of the school is all about preference.
