What institutions would you say are WUSTL's peer schools?

Rice

I think these schools can peer with WUSTL too.

Brown, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Cornell and John Hopkins…

Way back when I was picking my school (I was high school '08) I chose between WashU, Duke, and Johns Hopkins. In the engineering world, especially among bme’s, this was very common.

According to Parchment, students applying for WASHU also applied for Northwestern (16%), Johns Hopkins, Duke, PENN, Vanderbilt, UChicago and Rice (14%, repectively), and Brown, Dartmouth and Cornell (13%, respectively). These are peer schools of WASHU.

I imagine many students out in the midwest apply to WashU, UChicago, and Northwestern.

Also Duke.

I would add Carnegie Mellon if you are looking at engineering.
