Washington University in St. Louis

Hey guys! I just wanted to get a realistic idea of what my chances are for getting into Wash U.
I go to a top private high school in St. Louis, Mo.
GPA: 3.8 UW
5 APs (Calc AB, Calc BC, Physics, APUSH, and Politics(my old school didn’t offer very many)).
ACT: 34

I am very involved in ECs, but I transferred schools Senior year so I couldn’t fulfill many of my president positions and captain of tennis. My most important ones are:
3 year Varsity Tennis
Show choir National Champions
4th in Illinois State Math Competition
National Placers for We the People Debate competition
Spirit Club
Musicals
Quartet (sang for a President)
Youth Leadership program (year long)
work experience
Physics Club
Yearbook (3 years, editor)
Students Against Destructive Decisions
International Club
NHS
Academic Achievement Award
Paged for a State Rep
Tri-M Musical Honor Society
150+ Volunteer hours
Medics
Abroad Missions Trips
I interviewed this past week with an alumni and it went really well.
I’m not sure if it helps or not, but my brother is a current student.
My essays and recommendations were all great.

Again if you could give me your two cents, I just want to get a realistic idea. Thanks!

I think that overall, you have a good shot, but once your scores are on target, WUSTL looks at what else you have to contribute to the school. Do you have any serious passions that make you stand out? Also, why are you taking Calc AB if you’re already taking Calc BC? Your GPA is also a little bit low too, but your ACT is excellent. What is your rank or percentile? Remember that WUSTL is a reach for anyone. With that said, I still think you have a good shot. Best of luck
