WashU or Chicago as a transfer

Hi, a similar post has already been made about deciding between WashU vs. Chicago, but I need help. I have about two weeks to make this decision.

This is what I'm looking for:
I'm an academically geared person, but I'm certainly no nerd. Above all, I need to be stimulated from an academic standpoint. If I find that classes are sub-par, professors are mediocre, and students are air-heads, then it won't matter how good the campus looks or how yummy the food is, I will be disappointed. I know WashU has an excellent social life. That I'm sure of. However, I'm unsure of how good the academics are. I'm not into medicine or science, I'm much more of a humanities person.

The programs that interest me most at WashU is the philosophy, nueroscience, and psychology (PNP) dept., and the political science dept.

I don't want to be around pretension 24/7, and I enjoy getting good grades here and there, but I need to be sure that I earned them with good and honest work.

So...
1. are WashU academics as good as the social life is supposed to be?
2. Which should I choose?

Academically Chicago is stronger, though neuroscience, psychology and political science at WashU are very, very good. WashU professors are accomplished and undergrad-focused at the same time and students are hard-working (but not to the degree of UChicago).

While WashU provides better overall undergraduate experience, it sounds like Chicago might be a better fit for you. Social life there is not non-existent, food is not that bad and intellectual stimulation will be significantly stronger than at WashU.
