Hi,
I am currently an entering freshman into the school of Arts & Sciences and I am planning to transfer to the Engineering school for Computer Science after the first semester.
The College of Arts & Sciences have been sending emails about signing up for seminars now and I am wondering if I am allowed to do the Computer Science 1 Seminar? Is that something that you sign up for in the summer like these other seminars or is that something that I enroll for when I go to WashU for SOAR?
Also while I’m at it I may as well ask some other questions.
In the engineering school my SAT scores would exempt me from taking College Writing 1, is there anyway I can avoid that class first semester?
On the WashU page it says this:
“Most students place directly into College Writing 1 and will take the course either in fall or spring semester of their first year of study. (Advisors have pre-assigned semester placement information. Students should not register for College Writing 1 until they know which semester they have been assigned to take the course.)”
Since I plan on transferring to engineering after the first semester, is there someone that I should email to ask for being placed for the spring so if I do transfer like I plan I would not have to take it?
