can anyone tell me about washu's study abroad program, the places you can choose from, how many people go, what they usually choose to do over there, how easy is it to sign up, and how popular. I want to study abroad in spain soph or jr year.

what school are you in?

i'll be doing pre med

See above for an answer to many questions. You will need to plan carefully for premed, a major and study abroad, but it can be done. D is premed and studying abroad for full year and she may be taking a class this summer in order to fit it all in. The school has a large number of outstanding programs that qualify for credit and you can always petition that they accept another program if you can't find what you want. Get familiar with the requirements early and you should have no problems.

I can't say how many do study abroad, but it seems that in D's circle, maybe 10% but that is just a guess. It appeared to me from reading the offerings that the programs were very meaningful rather than just 'fluff.' Most require a few years of college language although a few were 'language immersion' that did not involve studying at university level in the foreign language.
