WashU vs. Emory

hi all! I’m trying to choose between WashU and Emory to apply for Early Decision on, so I was looking for advice on which one I should choose.
Currently, I am a senior in high school and rank 4 out of 1000 in a public school with an unweighted gpa of 4.0 and a weighted gpa of 5.0 (on a 6.0 scale).
my act score is: 33 composite
highest subscores: 35 english, 35 math, 35 reading, 30 science (making my superscore a 34)
my ap test scores are:
APUSH – 4
AP Psych – 4
APWH – 4
AP Calc BC – 5 / AB Subscore – 5
AP Lang – 4
So in Emory I would get credit for all of my test scores whereas in WashU I wouldn’t get credit AP Psych or AP Lang.
This year I am taking AP Human Geo, AP Lit, Calc 3, AP Physics, AP Bio, and Advanced Physiology. Which school would give me credit for taking Calc 3 in high school?
In college, I’d really like to be active in a Red Cross Club, a math club, an Asian American Association, an academic team/quiz bowl team, yoga clubs, and volunteering clubs. I want to live in a great city, too, where there’s always something to do!
In high school, I was the Red Cross Club president (junior year) and vp (senior year) Mu Alpha Theta vp (junior year) and president (senior year), Key Club secretary (senior year), and Asian American Association secretary (senior year)
I plan on majoring in biology and go through the pre-med track and either double majoring in Chinese or minoring in Chinese. I also really would like to study abroad in China.
WashU has a semester study abroad program in Shanghai, China with their pre-med program, which interests me a lot, so I would love to attend WashU for that, and it’s only a 5 hour drive away from where I live!
However, Emory give me more credits with the ap test scores I have gotten, and it is located in Atlanta, a gorgeous city. They have a study abroad program in Singapore, which isn’t quite China, where I want to study abroad, but has a lot of mandarin and English-speaking people there. But also it is an 11 hour drive from where I live.
WashU and Emory are about the same price, so which would give more academic-based scholarship and how hard are they to get? My income is 90k a year.
Can you chance me at both schools (regular decision)? Which one should I apply Early Decision for? Which college will make sure I get the best education for med school? Is it easier to get into med school from one of these colleges? Is it easier to get into WashU med school or Emory med school by going to their undergrad schools? Is WashU’s curriculum much harder than Emory’s? I don’t want to struggle through all 4 years of college.
Thanks in advance for the input!

Emory is easier to get into ED. Both schools are great premeds schools. Emory is better for those who are not 100 percent certain on medicine or want to double major, as it is easier to switch between or do interdisciplinary studies at Emory. WUSTL is known to be a but more difficult, not sure how true that is.
Emory’s study abroad is well funded. WUSTL is need aware while Emory is need blind, so consider finances.
Atlanta>St. Louis.
QOL is great at both institutions, but Emory has large construction going on at the moment, so that’s something to consider.
Emory college is most represented at Emory medicine, I’m sure it’s the same at WUSTL.

Emory’s East Asian language dept. is very strong: the Mandarin and Korean professors are very supportive. Emory is affiliated with the Confucius Institute in Atlanta and sponsors the Jiangsu Cup Chinese Speech Contest with other local colleges. Jiangsu Cup winners receive free tuition and living expenses towards a summer month long seminar in China, but our D decided not to go.

Emory has a large number of Asian (many Chinese and Korean) students. Our D volunteered with a Buddhist group on campus and worked as an ESL tutor at Emory, so she met a lot of Asian students (mostly Chinese.)

Personally, I would say Emory wins this round. You sound like a great student and will thrive in a place like Emory!
