I am trying he decide which of these schools to apply ED to this fall. I am going to be premed and am looking for a good premed and biology program. The location is kind of important to me. The type of people and proffesors are a factor as well. Let me know what your opinion is because I am kind of stuck. Thanks!

Visit each campus. Also, this is a bit too subjective.

I personally would prefer Chicago (or close proximity to Chicago) or Philadelphia over St. Louis. That doesn’t mean, however, that it was a deciding factor for me. I turned down UChicago for WashU, and my freshman roommate turned down Northwestern for WashU.

It seems that people are less cutthroat at WashU when compared to Northwestern. Can’t say for UPenn. I feel like all faculty at top schools are on the same level.

My kid was trying to pick a favorite from these three also.
She ultimately picked Northwestern, but as noted above, this is an incredibly subjective question. You should pick the school where you think you’d be happiest, not by someone else’s subjective opinions.
They are all first rate schools and you can get a great undergrad education, premed or otherwise, at any of them. (Also keep in mind, though, that a very substantial percentage of kids who start college as “premeds,” don’t finish that way.)

Don’t just visit. Stay overnight. Go to club meetings. Sit in on classes you might actually take while there. WashU, especially, is the type of school that needs to be experienced. You’ll never know what’s special about us by walking around campus for an hour and calling it a day.

^^Very good advice - not just for WashU, but for all 3 schools.
I made my kids go back for second visits at their top 2-3 choices, attend classes, stay overnight and talk to current students, so that they could get a more informed “feel” for the schools.
