So I want to transfer to Penn State for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, but the problem is they don’t admit transfers to the main campus for those 2 majors. Reading around they admissions website, I read that you can do pre-engineering at one of their other campuses and then transfer to main campus (University park) but the only way to do that is if you have less than 2 years of college work done. So far I’ve only done one year of college (38 units) and will have done around 53 units at the end of fall '15 semester. I was wondering if i could go around their “no ME or CHE transfers” by attending one of their other campuses for spring '16 for pre-engineering and then transfer fall '16 to their main campus.
Do you think this will work or there isn’t a way around it?
