Ways for teens to make money.

I just turned 14 in early January.

What kind of online business do you have?

I dont know about stores (McDonalds, other fast foods), but 14 is the legal working age in NY (like counselors at day camps).

The things my kids did at that age were: mowing lawns and other yard work, babysitting, feeding pets while people were on vacation, helping elderly people with chores, one son sold baseball cards on Ebay, daughter cleaned horse stalls, sons detailed cars for neighbors.

banedon, what kind of business do you have?

The movies definetely hires at 15 in most suburbs, and I specifically mentioned non-fast food places in my post: I know that the average commerical restaurant would not hire a 15 year old. I meant mom-and-pop type places that are indepedently owned; ice cream stores are also notorious for hiring teenages. It'd be much harder to find a job in a big city than a smaller town.

But none of this matters since Johnathan is only 14!

Wait till you're 15. Get lifeguard training.

That's what a did. It's a great teen job, great pay, girls etc.
