Ways to Prepare for APUSH Exam?

Hello. I’m new here…
So I’ve currently taking AP USH AND APE. I’m aiming to do very well on the APUSH exam. But I need help preparing for the exam. I am currently in Thomas Jefferson’s administration in my independent reading meanwhile my class is already at World War I. I know I’m really far behind but i know i catch them up. The thing is that I do really well thorough readings well they just read the book and don’t take notes or view the importance of specific actions/bills/events/etc.

I’m currently doing…

 1. Thorough readings of each chapter (Using the book American History, A Survey by Alan Brinkley 2) Using the Insider’s Complete Guide to APUSH: The Essential 3) UC Open Access 4) Doing practice multiple choice questions after I’m done every chapter

What else should i be doing? Any ways to read the chapters faster( Currently takes me around 8-10 hours just to read 30 pages = 1 Chapter), Any resources or skills that I should be doing

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)…Thanks

Why does it take you so long to read a chapter? I think that’s overkill. It takes me 1-1.5 hours…

Just read a review book multiple times before the test and you’ll be fine. I usually take notes on the chapter during class, reread it before the test, and get an A. I don’t have the same textbook as you, but it still shouldn’t take that long.
