<p>Brown’s supplement question “We all exist within communities or groups of various sizes, origins, and purposes; pick one and tell us why it is important to you, and how it has shaped you.” has a 1000 character limit. I reached it exactly, but when I try to save on the Commonapp, it says it’s over the limit when it’s indicated that I have 2 characters available. </p>

<p>What’s the problem? Is there a way to fix this?</p>

<p>what is counting the 1000 characters? The common app or word. If it’s word, maybe the common app is counting enters or tabs or something?</p>

<p>It happneed to me too. try deleting one word or something, it should be fine.</p>

<p>ugh yeah, that was really annoying for me too! it happened for like 3 or 4 of my answers… you’re just going to have to delete a few more characters (it sucks, i know)…</p>

this is kind of late but… characters aren’t words… they’re letters.
