Cal State = Cuny.

This is reminiscent of the good old days when it was all Dre and Snoop VS. Tupac and Biggie.

Oh man.

janel,

Were you old enough to even remember said "good old days?"

Is 89 your birthdate...?

85 was my birthdate. So yes, I still remember. Albeit vaguely.

I got the number "89" from that advertisement that always comes on up top saying "stats eval! $89" ... or something like that.

And Janel is my sister's name. ;)

west coast is the best coast.

Hahah,

85...you're BARELY old enough to remember the days that both of them died. BARELY. :p

Dude, I'm almost 21. How old are you????

I'll be 23.

Don't tell me that 2 years of age doesn't matter when we're talking about stuff that happened in the 90s, though.

Right..

I was about 10. You about 12. YUP.

The difference between a 12/13 year old and a 10/11 year old is HUGE in terms of social development and tastes. While you may remember the deaths of the hiphop greats, at my age it was actually a social issue. Very very very few elementary school students are listening to popular music.

Most middle school students are.

2 years matters. Look at how different most 16 and 18-year-olds are.

K honestly I don't really care, nor know much about the rapper wars. I was just trying to crack a wise one.

You win.

Woah...really?

Woot! :)

Not that I really care that much either. But I do think that 2 years matters at that age.

Besides, we all know that Tupac was the better rapper.

rap sucks...next

Ahh yes...Cali, from Oakland to SacTown, the Bay Area and back down, it's where I lay my mack down!

What do you actually like Citan? You're such a misanthrope. :p

thats right we go hyphy in the bay

Anyway, yeah, ilovecalifornia...lol...does the New York Stock Exchange mean anything to you? I mean Fortune 100 companies conduct business with top cities in the world such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, London, Paris, Rome, Florence, Geneva, etc. Altogether, they generate billions of dollars hourly. Do you know how great the fed gov't benefits from this despite the laissez faire concept? As stated, the US economy would not be great without New York.

akafizzle,

That's like saying that the US economy wouldn't be great without California. It's a largely meaningless point.

Both areas of the countries have their strong points and weak points. But the argument that concentration of great colleges somehow automatically makes the East Coast better is silly. It's not how many there are that matters, it's how many per capita that matters.

Either way, I'd gladly go to any of the top schools on the East Coast.

EDIT:

Rap sucks, but Tupac still kick a**.

I used to like rap and listened to it avidly (underground, mainstream) for a good 10 years. Since gangsta rap died, I've been I've been listening to metal (KsE is my favorite) for the past 3 years, but I still find myself playing my Tupac cds.

:)
