We are so lucky that we live in CA...

"First of all, In N out Burger is the MOST efficent "fast food" resturant on the planet. Where else do you find drive through attendants taking order while you are waiting in line if the line happens to be backed up?"

Wow, you obviously have no right to debate this topic at all; how in the world could you be that ignorant on this? Only about 9999 billion other fast food (actual fast food) places have people who take orders like that in the drivethru.

And the line is always backed up because they are slow as hell.

I think they are vastly overrated partly because Californians have no other experiences with higher quality fast food burger places such as Burgerville.

You keep saying they are overrated...but overrated by whom???

And gabe you've got a bit of an ego problem there buddy..to tell someone they have no RIGHT to debate something? who the f*** do you think YOU are? Mr. all high and mighty! They are backedup because of the amount of people there not because they are slow...

In N out started the trend of paying a premium wage to attract premium workers..

How many times have you been to an IN N out, and found the person you are trying to order from doesn't know English? Happens to me all the time in SoCal at McDonalds, Carls JR. ETC...

For everyone else this is a debate about fast food, and Cali etc but for gabe here its another opportunity for him to spew his garbage on this forum like he always does.... no one can say anyhting on these boards without being attacked by gabe who has a G-D complex. Get over yourself man.

1. Have you even heard of Burgerville?

The workers at In-n-out are BY NO MEANS "premium." I don't need the person I'm ordering a burger from to be an excellent English speaker, although I find that claim to be potentially racist. I've found In-n-out workers to be cracking jokes 50% of the time, messing around and overall carrying a lack of respect for customers--they seem like spoiled kids.

BY THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD, by tons of other people in California.

FINE THEN IM RACIST! when I do business in the USA I like to deal with people with whom I can communicate.

Unlike you, I do need the person I am ordering a hamburger to at least be fluent in English. I like to get what I ordered and paid for, not whatever the drive thru attendant FEELS like giving me, because of his lack of understanding of the common language of the Country he/she lives in, then having to go through the hassle to go inside and get what it is I wanted in the first place...making the trip altogether an inconvinence...exactly the oppositte of what it should be.

Ah...perhaps I should eliminate fastfood from my diet..well as we ALL know being college kids its just wya too easy to roll through a drive thru.. But hoenstly the last thing we need to deal with is at 230am when we are up studying for finals and need some more fuel for our body, is to order a hamburger with no pickles and tomoates, and endup with a chicken shandwhich with extra pickles and tomatos lol

I like your notion that the workers at in N out are "SPOILED KIDS."
Being from Orange County, I know all the spoiled kids like myself work at fast food joints! You are right on the money!

"Being from Orange County, I know all the spoiled kids like myself work at fast food joints! You are right on the money!"

haha..so, I don't work at all. Does that make me SUPER spoiled?

Apparently....if the workers at In N out are Spoiled level #1! we must be level 5+..i dont even pay my own rent! i think im at level 5x+9

No. SUPER SPOILED would be this one poster in the College Life forum. She's going away to college and she's arguing with her parents for a LARGER allowance because $2k wasn't enough for the year. Lol

oh my......looks like I have opened yet another can of worms

"i dont even pay my own rent!"

me either..i don't pay for my car, insurance, rent, food, anything. I love my dad. =)

haha either do I... I wont even let on about where I live and what I drive to...im pathetic hopefully I can get a degree here soon and make my own money!

we might as well attribute this to cultural differences. I'm from Connecticut. You're from Japan. (Even though you're NOT JAPANESE).

Yeah, maybe. I suppose us American expats just understand sarcasm and hyperbole better than liberal East Coasters.
