So, as everyone waits for the news of RD we want to wish everyone good luck in their admissions wait....

2 months ago my daughter was so totally obsessed with a NESCAC school in Maine and after being deferred in ED1 she applied to Grinnell ED2. When the decision / acceptance came last month we were all so thrilled and know that, in the end, it truly is all about finding the right fit and even good karma....

Grinnell seems to be a very special place and attracts equally special students. Although it sounds like the academic load is demanding it also sounds like socailly it is fairly laid-back and calm.

I hope she will love Grinnell as much as my son does. It is a wonderul place!

My D graduates from Grinnell this year. We visited LAC’s from Maine to NM, and she picked Grinnell. It’s been a terrific experience. Yes, the academics are demanding, but it’s been worth it. The campus is beautiful and state of the art. The professors have become mentors and friends, and the opportunities she has had will remain with her for a lifetime. Grinnell may be a small town, but there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and a “multiplex” theater within walking distance should your student need a break, although there’s always so much going on at the college, they may be like my D and never want to leave.
