We were unable to match your UCSB Perm Number with a Financial Aid Application. Either UCSB did not receive your FAFSA or there is a mismatch between your FAFSA data and the Admissions Office's and/or Registrar's data. Please log off and try again. Please make sure that your name, birth date and social security number are the same on your FAFSA and your Admission or Registration records. If necessary, make necessary corrections. If you did file a FAFSA and you continue to get this message after you have verified that your information is correct, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (805) 893-2432.

I'm 100% sure I sent in my FAFSA? Is this normal?

I am too and I also got this message I know I sent my Fafsa in because after I submitted it I called all of my school and asked if they had receive my application (Including UCSB) Maybe it’s just a glitch? is everyone getting this message?

Yep, I got the same message, too. Every UC must be different because UCI didn’t have their financial aid package ready yet, but UCSD had their financial aid award letter ready the moment I got my acceptance online. Like @Wheaty says, it probably takes a few days for the info to be ready.

nquyen, that’s because you haven’t created a UCSBnetID yet unless you’re already attending there. Or at least if you’re looking at the same thing I was, that was the case.

This is happening because only the first 3 schools you choose in your FAFSA get your info. Meaning, if you chose UCLA, UCSD, and Cal as your first three schools in the FAFSA, then only they get your info.

Dont worry, you can change that on your FAFSA. It wont affect your finacial aid or Cal Grants.

Called UCSB today about this same message. They told us it will take a few days for the financial aid info to be available on the admissions website, to check back soon.

My husband called the financial aid office this morning and this is the message everyone is getting. Wait about 3 business days for things to get worked out.

Just checked again and the message has now changed to indicate the FAFSA was received and more info will be available later in the month.

“If you are admitted to UCSB or if you are on the waitlist, the Financial Aid Office will determine your unofficial financial aid eligibility and post it on this web site. Unofficial financial aid eligibility and other basic financial aid information will be posted beginning in late March.”

Yes, after seeing @ayelewna’s post, I logged in again and the financial aid award letter is there. (It’s the link on the left side bar labeled “Unofficial Award Letter”.)
