So for everyone else who got accepted, what is the status with your financial aid? I saw in a thread that they posted on twitter that it would be out within a week. But when I click on the Check my financial aid status it says that
"We were unable to match your UCSB Perm Number with a Financial Aid Application. Either UCSB did not receive your FAFSA or there is a mismatch between your FAFSA data and the Admissions Office's and/or Registrar's data."

Did anyone else get that, or did i make an error.

you should call them because mine shows that they got my fafsa

How do you check your fin aid status? Is there a link?

There is a check my aid status thing above the box in your app status. Click that then the fin aid tab should pop up.Next click the link that says unofficial financial award. It should show your grants n stuff.

I have not been admitted (decision still pending) but my financial aid box says the same thing @diffgeo

They work on the aid packages whether you get off the wait list or not at UCSB, as I understand it. They realize people need that information to make their decisions and know you will have to make the decision quickly if you get the offer. They might do the same for those who get later decisions. Did you try to check your aid?

Have you guys submitted your SIR? Because I read that you need to do so in order to see your financial aid package. I’m getting the same error message as OP.

A bunch of people on the decisions thread (not transfers) saw their packages per the posts.

So do I need to submit an SIR to see my package then?

A lot of people (not transfers) saw it without the SIR. They know you need to see that in order to DECIDE to SIR. I think they are just cranking them out as fast as they can.

I saw mine as soon as I got my decision. You guys should ask admissions to fix whatevers up.
