Wealthy kids in college

which college has the most affluent students?

Definitely not CHK

probably hyp. if i'd have to take a guess i'd say yale, they seem to have a lot of well-off students.

CHK=The College of Hard Knocks

You find the most wealthy I think at the LACs and U's just below the very top that don't meet 100% of need and have 60 plus percent paying $50K. The ivies with their great aid certainly have their share of the wealthy but don't come close to these.

Northwestern

Yale. After all, Blair Waldorf (who called those less fortunate than her the "financial aid-iots") is going there...and Serena van der Woodsen almost did.

Williams, Vassar, Haverford, New York University, Sarah Lawrence, George Washington University

Why? Are you trying to snag a wealthy spouse?

That's one way to handle the recession..

maybe... lol jk
no i just thought it would be interesting to see what schools have the richest kids.

None of the Ivies/Stanford since they are need-blind in admissions. Most Ivy students are from middleish income homes.

You'd want to look at private schools that are ranked from say 40-125 in the USNWR LAC list. You see they can't be really hard to get into or most rich wouldn't gain admittance, so forget top 40. The worse the financial aid the better for this purpose. like those on this page--- http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/college/liberal-arts-search/page+3 You'll find lots of schools in this list like Gettysburg College, etc.

Then look for schools known as finishing schools for the southern aristocracy.

I'd guess Stanford, NYU, USC, Dartmouth, Princeton, Duke, Brown, Northwestern, Virginia and Rice.

I agree with RML :)

Not HY; P, I don't know. Those schools do have some extraordinarily wealthy students, which is why they go out of their way to balance their socioeconomic diversity with other students from all kinds of backgrounds. I'd guess that NYU might have the most because it's a very expensive school on the most expensive real estate in the country, in a setting that attracts the urban elite, and it's renowned for offering relatively little financial aid. But that's just a guess.

my bro in law said kids at BU are generally wealthy. he said BU is where wealthy dumb east coast kids go who couldnt get into any other college

NYU, Northwestern, Washington & Lee, Boston U, and Wake Forest.

my guess would be the most expensive schools such as NYU or George Washington...also schools that give out little to no money...on the other end of the spectrum the poorest kids in college would be community college becasue its so much cheaper to do that for 2 years b4 a normal university...but y does this even matter which school has richer of poorer kids?

NYU/BU/Northeastern

Georgetown

Sarah Lawrence--are you on crack??? Ivies still have the old money vibe

Hello, do the math. Schools like Sarah Lawrence, NYU and GWU have high tuition and they do not offer a lot of financial aid.
