Nicole, it says the Cumberland River started receding today but Nashville is still flooded. And I know the Gaylord Hotel was damaged pretty badly so not sure how the hotels are doing. Might want to call in and talk to the hotel.

(I’m also a fellow Southern California student. See you next year!)

You can google local news sources for road conditions however I can witness that the vandy campus is not flooded and it should not be very difficult getting to the campus from the airport because I live 10mins from the airport and drove past it this morning the highways are dry. The only part of the interstate still blocked is towards opryland hotel, which should be much better by now. Downtown is still flooded but that’s not a problem unless you really wanted to stroll down music row. Vandy is close to downtown but not close enough to be damaged by the flood. However the Vanderbilt hospital did take some damage on the first floor as they lost some capacity in oxygen regulation. But I believe you will be fine there are also hotels right next to vandy and many resturants etc. I would absolutly day visit Hillsboro village near vandy it’s a great spot and it’s dry !
