It is interesting to note the dates on the academy's web cam for barney square.
Actually I am really surprised they are even operating them during indoc.

Looks like they are gathering after lunch

I am not seeing what you are seeing. It says 1600, are there further dates when you click on the link? My work computer won't let me access so I will try at home later and that might solve my question.

Go to the academy main page, I clicked on news(left side bar) then again on the left side bar go to web cams you should be able to see waterfront and barney square if you have plug in's to view these things on your computer

Again I am amazed they are even operating

My view of Barney Square has a date on it of June something 1970! Is this even possible? The time is also 1600 and here it is only 12:29 pm. What's the deal?
Waterfront seems accurate with date and time

I noticed earlier this year that the Barney Square computer must have had a reboot. The battery in that computer must be bad, when it came back up it reset to the default date of 1-1-1970. Nobody has changed the date in that computer for almost 6 months now.

At least that is my story,

CPASteve

Does everyone also have a bad picture compared to the waterfront and it skips every 3-4 seconds? I wanted to ask weeks ago before it went completely off for a while. But now that it is back up I wonder if everyone sees what I do? Discussing the dates makes me feel I am not alone as I get the wrong dates also.

Yep, looks awful here too

last year I spoke with tech services about the square camera.
The waterfront camera is very new by comparison. There has been a desire to update the square camera, but not the funds.

I am surpised that they left it up this year during indoc.

The camera at the waterfront costs about $1000 for the same model. Sounds like a fundraiser is needed. I bet every plebe paretn would contribute $5 to the cause. Any comments?

I had suggested they go with ones like the citadel has in SC. (SiteZAP WebCam Control)
they are even remote control.
But the IT chair didn't want to do that- he's apparently more concerned about the KP firewall.
