Has anyone done the web video interview or the timed written interview? We can't make it to NC again and just wanted to see what these were like before deciding which to do...thanks!

I did an in person interview, but I have heard that the timed interviews are hard!

D’s roommate did the timed written interview. She said she had 5 minutes to type and submit her reply to each question; the total interview lasted a little over 30 minutes. She said it was stressful, but D said the same thing about her face-to-face interview.

I did a face-to-face via skype. It was a good thing for me to do, pretty much like a normal interview, the guy who interview me was real chill. Also, I had a little post-it by my computer screen in case I got nervous so that I could remember a few of the reasons I wanted to go to Wake. I never got nervous though, he made me feel comfortable, and it was great. I would think its better to do a webcam one personally. You can say things with emotion, they can see that you are nervous or pondering their questions too.

just my opinion.

what is the typical on campus interview like?

The most important thing to remember about the interview is that it is evaluative. The interview experience definitely varies based on the interviewer, but the student should be prepared for in depth follow up questions. D’s interviewer asked some of those “If you could only bring one thing to college?” type of questions, but none of her friends seemed to have the same experience. Plan on 20-40 minutes for the interview.
