Is it okay if I make a website (code it myself and host it) and put it on the additional information part of the common app so admissions officers can see what information i couldn’t fit on the common app? Or should I just type it out, the thing is, I want them to see that I have many coding skills.
Now I am not sure whether or not you would want to attach a website to the common app, but I do know that creating a website is not usually a great way to show off “coding skills”. It represents an understanding often times of HTML, and CSS maybe JavaScript or Python, but none too impressive when it comes to impressing colleges. I suggest making some standalone applications of some sort and sharing those if you truly want to display your talent, unless you plan on making a complex website.
