For the second prompt, I was thinking about topics to include and would my weight loss be acceptable? Throughout my sophomore and junior year, I managed to loose 40 pounds and kept it off. It definitely wasn't easy but I managed to do it and not gain any of those pounds back so far. Does that sound like a good topic? Reply asap please :)

In my opinion, it has the potential to be a really good essay.
What are you trying to say about yourself with it though?
You’re persistent? You take initiatives? You’re self-motivated? Can you connect it to other aspects of you? For example, eating healthier and exercising more [making things up as I go, hope you don’t mind] helped increase your energy levels and you performed better in school? Improving your BMI helped you feel more confident and made you more outgoing?

and make it specific to YOU. Write this so it will be near impossible for me to take your essay and paste it to some other student that has lost ~40lbs and still have it describe him/her.

Congratulations on keeping that weight off :] I’m just trying to loose 5 lbs and I’m finding it difficult. [yaaay for stress eating]

As someone who has lost a lot of weight, I can see the potential for this to be great.

However, don’t just focus on how it shows that you’re a hard worker. Talk about how it has personally changed you. Do you see the world differently now/?

not bad idea, if you can demonstrate struggle and personal efforts
