Weird clubs at your school

I have been thinking of starting up a historian's Club next year.
I am not sure yet what we would do but maybe:
1) prepare something for national history day
2) Do presentations about history infront of the student body- maybe putting on a play about the life of Washington or the french Revolution
3) arrange field trips to local museums and field sities
4)volunteer as tutors in History and help the lower school-be TA when students are learning about history.
5)Learn about preserving history, archecology and anthropology-arrange for speakers to come to the club.
What do you think? Does it sound intresting or just plain werid? Would you join.
Also another werid club at my school is the chemistry club where all they do is explode things and set off the fire alarm.

We had a fashion club for a while...

5.) War Club (we never actually started this, but we almost did)
6.) ALBUM CLUB!
7.) "West Coast Club"?
8.) We too have a DDR club...I guess it's not as weird as we all thought...?

We have a Scrabble CLub too...--
We used to have a Spandex Club until Leadership actually got serious and stopped passing stupid purposeless clubs in leadership council. The reason they admitted Scrabble club is because Scrabble takes some logic...or so they say. --.

there's a video game club at my school. yeappp they play video games all of lunch.

we have a fledging croquet club. My friend started it as a joke, but then people actually showed up. They even played snow croquet. Now that was amusing.

we have like no clubs..just the basics like key club, nhs, and like 2 other, an environment one and a drug free one. oh yeah, and ffa. theyre gonna wonder why im not too involved..hmm go figure, maybe because those clubs suck and the 2 of 5 i am in is just because i need them.

Anime Club, Gay Lesbian and Straight Club, Scrapbooking Club, Basketweaving with Seaweeds Club (ok just kidding about the last one)

rubicks(sp?) cube club

Pirate Club

It's kind of dead now, but I was a co-founder.

We have a "Sports Club", and the founder is a guy who needs to get Yao Mings $%(@ out of his mouth. So thats another weird club

We have a GSA, too.

We also have a Dodgeball and Extreme Frisbee club.

I don't find that very weird.

We also have a body-painting group.

the rock paper scissors shoot club... its a pretty big deal too.. theres a big tournament and the final 4 rounds get a pretty nice turn out.. theyre even making tshirts

We have "Cereal Club"...yes they just sit in the cafeteria surrounded by boxes of cereal and eat. Also, I'm the president of skateboard club which I personally think is pretty original.

We also have knitting club, "strategic gaming" club which is strange kids and boards games, Bridge club, and "Out of the Box" Club which just does weird stuff and attends event. Our school is big and known for its clubs since I think we have nearly 100 offerings.

cereal club...pfsh!!! :)

My old school had a juggling/buskering club. Basically, you learned how to be a street performer! (No, I never went, but they practiced on the strip of grass next to the main entrance.) There was also a Video Games Club. And Computer Club - which may not seem so weird, but all it consisted of was everyone sitting at computers and playing online shooter games while the teacher/supervisor blasted Japanese pop music. We couldn't have too many weird clubs, sadly, because there was a long and involved process when it came to making a new club - you had to prove to just about everyone in the administration that it had academic worth - hence why we weren't allowed an anime club, but were allowed a Japanese club.

Of course, my school this year has no clubs at all! That's a little weird.

we can a euchre club, but poker was rejected because it promoted gambling...
