What clubs are you in that are DIFFERENT from the normal (ex. Model UN, Key Club, NHS)? And what exactly goes on in that club?

Pirate Club. We pillage our rival school, yell "Yar!" at opportune moments, host a dinner for the whole student body at the end of the year, dress up, sell funny t-shirts, use pirate pick-up lines and generally make the campus a little bit more like the high seas.

Gomoku Club, and Anti-Pornography Club...

I meant mainly clubs in high school. I'm thinking about starting one, but I'm out of ideas.

The pirate club IS a high school club. Maybe if posted what you're interested in, people could give you suggestions for clubs that are along that vein.

Skateboard Club. My school lets us make clubs, so I'm the founder and President even though I'm a girl. :)

My school does too. I founded a Book club. We read, discuss, and do service! :-)

Harry Potter Club!

But I'm debating whether or not I should even put that on my applications. xD

I admire our president of the Anti-Porno Club. He is so creative...

Octagon Club :) Community Service! :D and Indian Club, we do Bhangra and have a night called Spotlite where all the Indian performers perform Bollywood and stuff :D and the afterparty is HOTT ;)

senoritis42: How exactly do you "pillage" another school?

Unfortunately, it's not literal pillaging. Stuff like spelling our school's name on their playing field with our school color, supporting the athletes as they beat down the other team, eating the food from their cafeteria, etc.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I want to get one going at my school now.

My school has a ton of weird clubs. Including:

Dead Parrot's Society (monty python humor club)
Stonecutter's Club (watches The Simpsons and analyzes)
DDR Club
Cinema 8 (just watches movies)
Games Club
War Games Club (think tabletop gaming)
Bridge Club
Go Club
Classic Rock Appreciation (got Jethro Tull to come recently)
Knit and Crochet Circle
Otaku Club (anime)
Seinfeld Society
Swing Dance Club
Amateur Radio Club
Awesome Association (hangs out)
Cookalicious Club
Juggling and Flying Apparatus Club
Ping-Pong Club
Riddles & Puzzles Club
Science Fiction & Fantasy Club
Ultimate Frisbee

What is the Go club?

Go's a Japanese boardgame.

I'm in the GSA. Whoot!

Some ideas:
-language/culture clubs (whatever foreign language you take--just get together after school and speak it, cook dinners from those countries, watch movies in that language)
-activism clubs (animal rights, environmental, community service, political action...whatever floats your boat)
-academic clubs (philosophy club is a great, more laid-back example--get together and discuss philosophy; just remember that you "Kant" always agree about everything :P)
-arts clubs (drama, dance, singing, etc.)

In terms of off-the-beaten-path clubs, my school has:
Mellon club (for people with unusually large heads--I'm not kidding)
Juggling club (of course)
Israeli Folk Dance club
Table tennis club
Japanese animation and film club
the Club club (this is probably the weirdest one I've heard of--every week they go visit a different club)
