Weird "signs" about Penn everywhere you go!

Anyone else getting freaked out by stupid little “signs” that you overanalyze? Maybe its just a girl thing, but I’m freaking out every time it happens to me!

Like I’m reading Maugham’s Of Human Bondage and there’s a character named Wharton.

And when I went to get my hair cut I walked outside to my car and realized that I had parked next to a car with a Penn sticker on it.

And I overheard one of my friends giving directions somewhere and they mentioned the Walt Whitman bridge, which is right outside Penn.

All stupid little things, but they just make me more nervous and it seems like time goes even slower! Anyone else have things like this happening that you feel like sharing?

whoops, didnt realize html doesnt work ^^

lol try living in philadelphia. Penns all over the place!

wow didnt even think about those living in PA...id definitely cry!

not for me, but a person i know told me she got "signs" for Yale one day...

i think all this sign talk is nothing short of PrEposterous, iN fact, you're all iNcredibly stupid for thinking so!

cute, AsalientOne. subliminal messaging in a forum ehh.

hey wait a minute!

edit: hey me and booboo posted at the same time. what are you doing up at 1 am man? go to bed!

i'm on the west coast.

that sucks.

Not applying to penn but I see princeton signs lol. I just passed by Princeton Ski Shop the other day.
oh and html does work it's just weird
use
[ ] instead of < >

theres a street named princeton right down the street from me. How I loathe that street lol. theres also a street named oxford right near me. colleges all around.

wow, zanted, you have 2,000 posts. amazing. damn those princeton kids and there posting pump threads.

dude. i dont get any weird signs. i dont think...omg that's bad
i must look for signs~ lol.

hrm..streets near me....well..theres world trade drive...OMG thats a bad omen.

The Walt Whitman bridge is on the other side of Philly from Penn but I get your drift.

I'm a student at Penn now and when I was trying to decide where I wanted to go to graduate school, and this sounds really freaky, but the house I lived in at college had a brick walkway up to the front door and up the walkway, though I had never noticed it for the 2 years I had been living there, there was a brick right in the middle of it that said 'QUAKER' on it. Really wierd... but I did end up coming to Penn. . .

Mark

chocoman, you live in Northeast Philly?

yes, yes i do.

that's cool. Penn Loves Phila. students, so you may have a slightly higher chance than non-Philly students :-)

yeah, that's why I think I'm more likely than not to get in.

30% acceptence rate ED + being a Philadelphian = Good shot.

I keep of thinking of penn as not a real Ivy League college, since i live in Philly and I'm so used to it...It's kinda strange for me NOT to see "signs" about Penn everywhere I go, especially since I take a class there. I really hope to get in (even though another 4 years in the city do not sound as such a pleasing thing...)

yeah I kinda feel the same way Fish.

What school do you go to? Masterman?
