Or, vice versa I suppose. What are wome weird habits you have at college that no one else has? Or are there any common weird habits at your college that you never caught on to?

For me, I audio record all of my lectures and listen to them later. It helps me retain the information better and I've never heard of anyone else doing this.

Also, I use the bathtub in our dorm and no one else has used it all year.

I eat breakfast in my 7:45 class. Nothing offensive, just a protein bar, and it doesn’t even make noise. Everyone kinda looks at me funny though. I also take notes on my comp. Keeps me focused better.

A girl in my History class uses a recorder to record the lectures. Seems like a perfectly normal thing to do to me.

Yeah but they are the type that will look over my shoulder…so I dealt with that issue in my own personal way xD all they see now is gibberish, teaches them to pay more attention.

Honestly with some classes there’s simply no time to eat in between them. I have a yoga class that ends at 12:20 and an English class that starts 10 minutes later. There is simply no way that I can put my yoga stuff away, change, eat lunch, then head all the way across campus in 10 minutes, so I eat during English. A lot of other people do it to, so it isn’t that weird, and the teacher approves.

I carry my water in glass bottles rather than plastic or a metal thing. I don’t think it is that odd but one time someone noticed I was using one that I had used before and seemed grossed out that I used the same one twice. It’s glass. I don’t throw my regular glasses at home out after one use. That is what soap and water are for.

I eat weird combinations of food. I like to invent things…such as creating a chicken parm by getting a chicken breast, sauce, and cheese and putting it on the panini grill. Also, when I eat cereal I keep adding more cereal until the milk runs out (although our bowls are really fricking small, so it just ends up being a normal bowl of cereal).

I also like to do crunches late at night when I’m studying and need to wake up, haha.

If anything about my lifestyle is “weird” it’s my showering habits… I’m a neat/clean freak (and I’m a dude!) and I shower 2-3 times per day and wash my hair 3-4 times per shower. And I have ** really short ** hair. People wonder why I’m always in there so long and I’m afraid theyre getting the wrong impression, if you know what I’m talking about…

I also use the “notes” app on the iPhone as my planner. So much easier to open a “notes” tablet for each day and use that and put important events on the calendar. I never see other people doing this and it’s a shame because it’s so much easierthan digging out the planner and writing stuff down.

As far as what I don’t do, everybody at my school brushes their teeth in the shower. It’s evidentally an “Indiana thing” and I thought it was the dumbest thing for the first semester and people judged me for not doing it. Of course, now I do it just like everyone else and can’t imagine wasting the time to brush my teeth ** outside ** the shower…

This is something that I’ve always done, but in my math classes, I copy down everything in the problem. For example, if a problem asks me “solve 3x +5 = 8”, I write down “solve 3x + 5 = 8” and then proceed to do the problem. Same thing with word problems. Even if the word problem description is two paragraphs long, I write it down before I even proceed with solving the problem itself.

reesezpiecez103, I exactly the same things. Well, the cereal and crunches ones at least. Although I never really have cereal in college, but when I have it at home, I do that. Also, I like to randomly just go do a set of pushups/crunches on the floor in my room to wake me up, or just because I’m sick of studying haha.

And for the taking a bath in a dorm tub, I don’t know how clean it is, but that’s tough. I need to wear flip flops just to stand in our showers, so I can’t imagine taking a bath.
