Thanks ColbyAdmissions and Ecoldad! Your answers are really helpful. btw, some days ago, I looked at the general graduation requirements at Colby. It seem Colby has a much stricter requirement than other LACs (Colby: diversity, literature, natural sciences, English composition etc. while others simply divide their courses into 3 or 4 major divisions and tell students to take some courses in each). What is the general attitude of the students toward the requirement of the institution? Is it easy to fulfill those requirements?

Hello. I'm an international student from the Philippines. I just have a few questions.

What is the financial aid like for internationals? Is it need based? And what is the average?
Around how many internationals do you accept per year?
What do you think are the most important factors in getting accepted?

Thank you.

10 chars. bump

How much does it help with freshman admission to have 2 siblings at colby currently? My gpa is not quite at the average of most accepted students, about a 3.4 or 3.5, so would I have an increased chance of admission because of my siblings? My parents also donate.

This was an excellent thread. Thank you, Colby College.

does colby give no/very few aid to international early applicants?
