<p>i applied to meet the 12/10 deadline as most of you out there. I got the confirmation card, yada yada, just like everyone else. Now today i got this thick "getting to know USC" booklet. this thing looks fat and i dont think it would be very smart for them to just send it to anyone. does this mean anything? i mean im not getting my hopes up. but it just seems a little weird. opinions?</p>
<p>i applied for the january 10th deadline, and they sent me a folder with a certificate saying i got in and all that stuff, it was plainly obvious that i got in. This was in the latter half of february, and then a week or so later they gave me a 1/4 tuition scholarship (even tho i applied for the non-scholarship deadline). Basically, if it doesnt say you got in, dont assume anything (and some colleges tend to send boatloads of mail).</p>

<p>madkapitolist, I assume you are referring to the book that says "Guide to USC 2005-06". If it's that one, then yeah it's just mass marketing material.</p>
