So, I’ve been looking at colleges and i came across bennington. I’ve read all about it, but i still cant grasp the feeling of it.

Is it really a smoking school? Like does everyone do it?

Are there smoke free dorms?

Are the students friendly?

How are the students personalities?

Are the classes good?

I just need a vibe from the school. I there anything to do there?

Anyways I hope someone can help me! Thanks!!

Sooo it would mean alot if someone could help me out with this!!(:

My daughter just graduated from Bennington and it was probably the best four years of her life. She’s sad to leave. Like every place, there’s a wide range of people there. Some very straight laced, and some so far out there you might think they’re from another planet. My daughter’s roommate smoked, my daughter didn’t. I think the dorms are all smoke free (fire hazard). The students seem friendly to me, but then my daughter makes lots of friendships, both wide and deep. The classes are good in that you get one on one attention from the professors. One of the best things I’ve observed about Bennington is the huge support system outside of school. There is a strong Bennington network here in New York, and I think Boston and Philadelphia, too. Field Work Term gives you an opportunity to start making contacts early. You’ll have to visit to see if the atmosphere suits you.
