Hello! I’m from Missouri and applied as an English and Environmental Studies double major. Right now, I’m not sure whether or not to accept my waitlist spot until I see what my other options are, but I really hope some of the rest of you end up getting in! Good luck!!!
Hey guys, I’m from MA and applied as a CS major. I’ve just accepted my waitlist spot and am probably going to send a letter of demonstrated interest. Best of luck to everyone!

hey im from CT and i applied as a history/art history major !! lets hope they accept ppl off the waitlist this yr and we all get in !!
Hey guys! I’m from Michigan and I applied as a biochemistry major with an interest in South Asian studies. I took that spot on the waitlist almost right away, because I would really love to attend Wellesley. I wanted to send a LOCI and I was wondering if anyone could tell if I have to send it through email or through snail mail?
I sent mine through the email they gave us on the portal (applicant@wellesley.edu I think is what it is.)
Alright. Thanks @classyvintage722
I applied as a Spanish major but took myself off the waitlist, good luck to everyone who stayed on and I hope you get in!
Does anyone have any faint idea regarding the number of waitlisted applicants?
@estudiante33 You can look up the Common Data Set for Wellesley to get an idea of the waitlist numbers from the years past. Last year, 2032 of the 5666 applicants were waitlisted, 1153 accepted a spot off of the waitlist, and 36 of those were admitted from the waitlist. Hope that helps!
@classyvintage722 thank you soo much. What a hopeless situation
Is PMing banned at CC. Like I could PM before but lately I couldn’t. I have been trying for weeks
How much chances does an international students who need almost full ride have from getting off the waiting list? An when I flipped through the past years wellesley wait-listed thread there are people who said they directly contacted their admission counselor and like how do we know who is our admission counselor?
I know that waitlist decisions will start to come out after May 1st, but does anyone have a more specific date for when they will be released? Also, I see some people talking about contacting their admissions counselor. What exactly should you contact them for to show interest? Like just talk about your continued interest in Wellesley?
@desi2022 I think there is not any sorts of particular date for announcing people who got off the wait list. They will probably go through wait list in second week and then by third week they would call first pool of applicants who get off the wait list. And since there might be people who will get off the wait list but would not be attending, the college will keep on announcing the applicants who get off the wait list till June 30th. After June 30 they would have finalized everything and have final pool of accepted attending students for Class of 2022. I am sorry for just vaguely describing but I too don’t have like exact specific facts. And yeah in regards to the admission counselor, I did have same question but I forwarded my letter of continued interest to the admission office and they said they would attach that in my file for admission board to see. I am sorry if I made things more confusing. And all the best! It would be great if someone who knows better write a post.
Thanks for your help @estudiante33 ! That made things more clear, because I don’t have any idea of what the waitlist is like. I got the same message from the admissions office as well when I sent them my letter of continued interest. Good luck to you and I hope you end up where you want to!
Hi, I am from California, and was wailisted (Gender and Women and Studies major). My friend who will be the class’s valedictorian was too waitlisted and applied as a poli science major.
Researching previous waitlisted admissions the acceptence is very low, and last year barely anyone got in and certain years less than 20 can get off the waiting list. However, don’t lose hope, one never knows what might happen, therefore I accepted to be waitlisted.
