Wellesley ED?

ED to Wellesley, but if I'm not in, Bryn Mawr and Scripps.

Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian
School: Smallish (under 800) parochial single sex school.

-Unweighted GPA (4-point scale): 3.77

-Weighted GPA (5-point scale): 4.1

-# of AP/IB/honors courses: 4 AP (7 total offered at my school, the others are Calc, French, and Studio Art), 5 honors (Freshman - Geometry; Soph - Algebra II, World History, English; Junior - English)

-AP Scores: US History: 4; US Gov and Poli: 5; I'm taking AP English (will take both Lang and Lit) and AP Spanish (just Lang)

-Class rank/size: We don't rank. At all. In terms of the decile estimate from last year, I'm in about the 25th percentile.

-SAT/ACT scores -- Took it once: 1470 of 1600 (770 CR, 700 Math); 730 writing for 2200. ACT is 33.

-SAT II scores --
Literature 700
Mathematics Level 2 710
Mathematics Level 2 720 (two test dates)
U.S. History 710

-Senior classes -- AP Spanish V, Religion, Economics, Modern European History (through local college, so we get college credit), AP English, Calculus, Latin I

-ECs -- Clarinet for 8 years, gone to Interlochen (WYWS), co-principal of one group starting this year and principal of another this and last year, 3rd in district solo competition in sophomore year, etc. Also have done mock trial (this will be my 3rd year), last year we were 4th in state. Also volunteer (probably have 100 hours by now) at an accredited teaching daycare.

-employment -- Unpaid internship with Congressman (who then offered to write me a rec, but I said no - looks bad) for a full month and a half. Answering phones, writing letters, creating fact sheets, etc.

-honors/awards -- Student Leadership award in band freshman year; 3rd in district solo competition sophomore year; NHS member; National Merit semifinalist

-short explanation on recs/essays -- Main essay focused on my generation's problem with brief communication (in texting/chatspeak/twitter) and how it's taking away from our language. Supplemental was pretty good, about going from an all girls school to an all womens college. Activity essay about playing clarinet at Interlochen. All have been edited and approved with a thumbs up by my college counselor. No idea about recs - my Spanish teacher loves me, my history teacher will give me a fairly good one (I like his because we're going to interview about favorite assignments, projects, ECs that relate, etc. so it won't be formulaic). College counselor - no idea. Probably good, but she's new this year, so it won't be as glowing as my old counselor's. ;(

-Additional info -- I went to Cornell Summer college this past summer, got an A- in the class (for college credit). Also went to the Northwestern Center for Talent Development before sophomore year and got an A and a semester of HS English credit.

I'll chance back!

You’ll probably get in ED or not.
But I would simply because it one thing out of the way if you do apply and get accepted.
