As a very outgoing girl, I can’t decide where I want to go. It’s either Wellesley or BC.
I’m very well aware of the fact that Wellesley is more “prestigious” than BC. but it’s quite far away from Boston; in fact, it’s middle of nowhere- pretty much. Also, Wellesley is all girls school. Visiting other schools’ campuses will require much effort.
On the other hand, BC is a mediocre school. just decent. but i hear BC has a great balance between studying and partying.
Ahh… Im having some hard time deciding where I want to go.

Another question. Is it easy to come to harvard square from BC? Do BC students actually come out to boston commons or harvard sq to hang out?

There is a HUGE difference between these schools! First off, BC is not just a mediocre school! No way! And, frankly I think BC would be alot more fun than being stuck out at an all girl's school in Wellesley, having to drive every weekend on bus into Boston for fun? I say go w/BC all the way!

You have listed the pros and cons for each, and only you could decide what to do.

But to answer your questions:
1. I don't actually go to BC, but I live 5 mins away and hang out with BC students all the time. They often go to Boston Common because it's just a 20 min train ride away. Harvard square, on the other hand, is relatively far if one didn't have a car because one would have to get on the B Line then transfer to the Red Line in Park Street. It could take over an hour.

BC has a better "practical reputation" than Wellesley and travels well around the US, which makes BC better if you plan to get a job right after college. Wellesley may be better for grad school, but as long as you get a 4.0+ at BC, you would be in a good position for any grad school applications.

If you like to party, I would definately go BC. If you would go to Wellesley just for the prestige, go to BC now and then try to transfer to Harvard or another top school freshman or sophomore year.
