I'm so conflicted... I want to major in History and maybe go for law school later on, but I can't figure out which is the best school for me... and the two schools are so different from each other...

Can anyone list pros and cons of each college? or your opinions?

Looks like we are in the same boat. Right now I am also deciding between UChicago and Wellesley for Political Science or Psychology, with aspirations to attend law school or graduate school for psychology. From my impressions of them, both places will offer undergraduates plenty of research opportunities. Although UChicago will devote many of its resources to graduates as well as undergraduates, remember that UChicago is a large research institution in comparison to Wellesley, so it will have more research opportunities in total than at Wellesley. If you are assertive, you will have plenty of resources at either college.

Another way to look at this decision is to think about which environment you would prefer since both places will provide you with a great education. Would you like to live in an urban area, or is a suburban area preferable? Do you like UChicago's core curriculum, or are Wellesley's GE Requirements more interesting? Is the all women aspect of Wellesley an advantage or a burden?

Also, have you been to both of the campuses? Sitting in on classes and walking around the campus may give you some insight as well. Lastly, try to get into contact with current students and alums; I have been fortunate enough to talk to some students from Wellesley and UChicago, and it has helped me to decide which college I may prefer (although I need to visit Wellesley before I can confidently make a final decision).

Just wondering, are you attending the Spring Open Campus for Wellesley?
